How To Use

Step 1 Identify the Area
Identify the specific area of friction concern before activity common areas include the heel, back of the ankle, the ball of the foot, the little toe and any area where the shoe has previously caused a hot spot, blister or corn.

Step 2 Cut to Size
Cut the moleskin roll to the size and shape needed to cover the area slightly larger than the friction zone to ensure full coverage and adhesion on all edges.

Step 3 Prepare the Skin
Make sure the skin is completely clean and dry before applying any moisture, sweat residue or lotion will significantly reduce the adhesive bond. For best results apply before putting on socks and footwear rather than after activity has begun.

Step 4 Apply
Remove the backing and apply the moleskin adhesive-side down directly to the skin press firmly along the full surface and smooth out any edges to ensure complete contact and a strong bond.

Step 5 Secure for Extended Use

The most effective way to extend the hold of the moleskin during extended high-activity use is to apply fixomull or sports tape over the top after application this significantly increases longevity by anchoring the edges and preventing the lifting that perspiration and movement can cause over time. Always apply to completely clean, dry skin before putting socks on applying over sweaty or moisturised skin is the most common reason adhesion fails during activity.

Can I use this to prevent blisters on the heel specifically?

Yes heel blisters are one of the most common applications. Cut the moleskin to a size that covers the full heel area where shoe contact occurs, apply to clean dry skin before putting socks on and secure the top edge with fixomull or tape for maximum hold during running or hiking.

Can I apply this over an existing blister?

Do not apply directly over an open or broken blister the adhesive is not appropriate for use on broken skin.
